Bev Fremin, Big Bend, 2018
I'm drawn to stories that are queer, emotional, and direct. I believe in creating new stories that force us to broaden perspectives and foster connections.
I am a designer and tinkerer for theatre and live performance, originally from Austin, Texas and based in NYC. I am a graduate of the BFA Lighting Design program at Rutgers University. My childhood interests in film and photography taught me to be aware of light at a young age and its ability to transform environments. I believe in these transformative and abstractive abilities of light. My designs play with beauty and harshness. I reveal, I evoke, and I play.
